SSTPP Solapur marks the commencement of Fire Service Week 2024 from April 14 to April 20, honoring the Fire Service Day on April 14. Commemorating the sacrifice of firefighters in the Bombay Dock Explosion of 1944, the event saw Chief General Manager Shri. Tapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay, Assistant Commandant CISF Shri Ragul M R, and distinguished guests paying homage at the SSTPP Fire Station. The ceremony included a poignant wreath-laying ceremony, a two-minute silence, and the collective undertaking of the fire pledge. With the theme "Ensure Fire Safety, Contribute Towards Nation Building," Chief General Manager Shri. Tapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay emphasized the importance of fire safety.

The event culminated with the symbolic flagging off of a fire tender for the township, signaling the start of the Fire Safety Campaign.
